Valentine’s Day is just around the corner – exactly 10 days from now. And, just to get you thinking in the right direction, here’s a card I created using elements from 7 Gypsies new Gypsy Moments collection, a little Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels, and a few special extras.
I began with an ivory Skinny Card and Envelope from Canvas Corp. Then, I used a few ATC Printed File Folders from Gypsy Moments for the background of the card. The butterfly and heart were actually cut out from different ATC Printed File Folders. The paper heart was mounted on a heart-shaped piece of chipboard (left over from my Rusty Pickle stash) and adhered to the chipboard scroll. I colored the chipboard scroll with a Copic Sketch Marker (E47-Dark Brown) – love doing this! It’s easier than paint and adds a little distressed feel to the finished piece. Next, I went for some color with the Glimmer Mist. I used Sunflower, Coffee Shop, Marmalade and Tattered Leather misted onto white flowers from Prima Marketing. I attached the flowers to the card using brads from BasicGrey. Behind the flowers is a cute little piece of light pink burlap from Canvas Corp. The stamp is from 7 Gypsies and so is the heart charm. I used hemp rope to attach the charm to the scroll. A few buttons completes my design.
