May 15th – Today began around 9 am with coffee outside.
Very peaceful. Very pretty. Love this morning light. Makes every photo look better.
Then D and Maggie joined us. He’s not always this goofy. We’ve had a big week!
Maggie still thinks she’s little. And a lap dog.
I cut a few roses from the pots on the deck and was able to capture this photo on our kitchen table. Not much editing here. This is just what came out of my iPhone.
Our day continued with C going to work. Just 4 hours on Sundays. And today he was getting to work on his own bike. He loves that.
The rest of us went to a really sweet graduation party that our friends hosted for their son. T and Jackson have known each other since they were 2. And have remained best buds. Even though they were sometimes in different states, and different schools. Represented here are University of Alabama, Belmont University, The University of Georgia and Middle Tennessee State University. Pretty cool.
It really was a great afternoon. Parents were a little teary. And a little excited. And a little exhausted. LOL
When we got back home, I decided to try yet another selfie. I might be getting better at this. Maybe.
And walked around taking a few photos of my yard art. Just noticed one of the flamingos has lost his beak. I know they’re a little tacky, but they’re so fun!
Have to have a few reptiles in the mix.
Then it was time to bring out the Big Green Egg. We had a gas grill for years, but when it gave out, we got the Egg. It took a little getting used to, but with practice I’m getting better. You can’t beat the flavor. Everything that comes off the grill tastes perfect.
I bribed everyone for one last photo.
Maggie was too tired to look at the camera (i.e., iPhone).
And that’s the end of My Week in the Life 2016. Next up will be the makings of my album. Can’t wait to pull out all the goodies in my box. Thanks for keeping up with my week, and hope you’ve had as much fun as I have following along and participating in this project. I don’t think I would have done this on my own. Thanks to Ali, I have a great week of wonderful memories to share!
