Today’s post is showcasing Monday in my Week in the Life album. You can read more about the Week in the Life project on Ali Edward’s Blog. Earlier this month, I posted the beginning pages for each day. I kept the same formula for consistency and used the templates found in Ali’s shop.
The first page of my album is a photo of a rose from the pots on my deck. I added several items from the Week in the Life kit (I used the Label Album), and typed in the dates in Photoshop. The typeface is Myriad Pro.
This is my beginning page for Monday. I added the plastic white heart from the kit for a little dimension.
I used the gold printed 4×6 card and the wooden number 1, with a photo on the back. The “Monday” I cut from a 3×4 card from a previous year’s WITL kit.
Next is the album page with 4 3×4 pockets. All of the embellishments are from this year’s kit.
On the back of the chipboard circle and on a couple of the photos, I used several stamps from stamp set included in the kit. I’m not a huge stamper, but thought I’d try to use them more in this year’s album. I tried a number of different inks, but Stazon is my go-to, even if I’m stamping on paper and not a photo. I just really like the crisp, clean image you get. You can get the inks any number of places, including Amazon.
Then comes the journaling page that I showed in a previous blog post. The words came from other blog posts so the page came together pretty quickly. I attached an index tab and used one of the stamps from the Go Story Kit.
Next is the album page with 2 4×6 pockets. Again I used a stamp, this time from the stamp set The Story.
On this page, I used one of the rubber words, and a stamp and word phrase from the kit.
For Monday’s last page, I used the big plastic letter “M”, along with journaling and a word phrase. The circle “Today” I cut from one of the 3×4 cards in the kit.
That finishes up my Monday! I’ll post Tuesday once it’s complete.
