Here is my last Week in the Life post for 2016. Finally. I’ve been having issues uploading photos to use in my blog posts. This still doesn’t seem to be resolved, but here’s to writing and posting via my iPad. Yay!
Saturday found us on the lake. In keeping with my previous page design, I used Ali’s WITL template and a white plastic heart.
The 4×6 day of the week card comes next, with the wooden number 6. The back of the card is a photo of my son’s legs as he’s wake surfing behind our boat.
Next up is the 4 pocket page. Again – in keeping with my design, I added word phrases to the photos and the day of the week chipboard circle. The back of the chipboard circle is circle-punched card stock from a WITL 3×4 card and one of Ali’s stamps.
Next is my journaling (from an earlier blog post) with a photo taken at one of our favorite restaurants. Lol.
Saturday turned out to be a heavy picture day, so I added in several more photos by adhering them back-to-back. The word “weekend” was cut from a 3×4 card.
Next is the 4×6 pocket page. A word sticker and rubber word phrase appear on the first 2 photos, and stamps from one of Ali’s Story Kits with a chipboard word phrase are used on the last 2 photos.
The last page for Saturday features some text, a word phrase, the plastic letter “S” from the WITL kit and a punched out circle adhered with Pop Dots.
Sunday’s first page uses an Ali template and white plastic heart (and features a black lab who thinks she’s a lap dog).
Next is the 4×6 day of the week card, wooden number 7 and a selfie on the back.
The 4 pocket page is next with the wooden chipboard circle from the WITL kit and a stamp. I also used a rubber word phrase and some chipboard embellishments from various Story Kits.
Here’s my journaling.
And here is the 4×6 pocket page. I really loved using the different word phrases throughout this album. Since word phrase stickers are included in just about every Story Kit, I had lots to choose from. Lucky me!
And here is my last page for Sunday and the last page of my album. Can’t believe it’s all done. A plastic letter “S”, text, a word phrase and punched out circle finish it off.
What I learned – even if you don’t think you took enough photos, or you think you took too many, it all works out. The photos you end up using are your favorites. Some days there are more than others and that’s okay. What I wish – that I had more journaling. This means that next year, I’ll have to expand my blog posts or take much better notes.
What I hope – that Ali keeps the same size album for next year’s kit. Lol.
What I am thankful for – a fabulous week of memories that I’ll always be able to look at and share. What I dream – is that 2017’s chosen week turns out as awesome as this year’s week. What I’m looking forward to – my next project. December Daily anyone?
