These are my pages from Thursday and Friday. I totally love this Week in the Life project! And I totally Ali-lifted my design layout! It’s just that with this project being so focused on just one week, it’s easier (and more fun for me) to concentrate on the photos and the stories versus concentrating on a really awesome design layout. Especially when Ali’s gone and created one for us!
The 4×6 weekday card with a wooden 4 comes next with a photo on the back, and a Thursday label cut from a 3×4 card.
Next up is the 4-pocket 3×4 page with lots of word phrases (love these too) and the chipboard circle from this year’s WITL Kit.
Next is the journaling from my blog post. Posting on my blog and then incorporating the posts into my album made a lot of sense. This is the first year I’ve done the project this way, but I’ll definitely be doing it again!
Here is the front and back of the 2-pocket 4×6 page. I used lots of word phrases (from this year’s WITL kit, as well as from a few of the Story Kits). I also used 2 of the rubber words from the kit.
My final page for Thursday uses the plastic “T” from the kit, a word phrase, chipboard and a circle punched out from a 3×4 card. Love this photo moment.
Now on to Friday – the big day!
Here is my first page for Friday. I can’t believe T is actually out of high school! Where did all the years go? I wanted the focus to be on my graduate (and not so much the photo colors) so I converted the photo to a soft black and white using a RadLab plug-in from Totally Rad. I have both the RadLab plug-ins for Photoshop, as well as the RadLab presets for Lightroom. I use them all the time.
Next is the 4×6 day of the week card with the wooden number 5, a photo on the back and a Friday label.
My 3×4 pocket page contains lots of word phrases, some chipboard and a stamp from the Sparks Story Stamp set (again, I have the actual stamp set but the digital version is still available).
Blog journaling follows.
And then the first of my 4×6 pocket pages. I had more photos for this day, so I just added more pocket pages and a few photos adhered back to back. The rubber word phrase used here is one I had left over from another Ali kit.
Like this. These are both screen shots from my iPhone which I enlarged and printed out for my album. I think they measure about 7.5 x 4.
Here is the second 4×6 pocket page. I kept up my design using word phrases and chipboard from various different Ali kits.
And here is the second set of iPhone screen shots, enlarged and adhered back to back.
My last page for Friday uses a plastic letter, word phrase and a punched out circle.
That completes Thursday and Friday. My plan is to complete Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Look for a post soon!
